¿How to start with Unity?

I really want to learn Unity specially for 2D game development, but when I see official tutorials and samples they use mostly 3D and there ir a lot of variety. So I would like to know if I shouls first learn about 3D and after that 2D? And what type of games would be the best for beginner learning?

I'd suggest by going to the official tutorial website, there they have lots of great content, or go to youtube, and search up "holistic3d" it's a really good channel, taught by a professor, and it's also great. that's how I got started off, and I am currently doing awesome! once you do that, unity3d is so easy, it's like coding in Scratch!

if you want 2d only, try game maker.

on the unity site there are also 2d tutorials but I wouldn't recommend you those, try searching on youtube or sth it's definetly not a problem if you start with 2d be sure to know either c# or javascript if you want to make some good interaction and pretty animations
