Photoshop knowledge may be required for designers, but it's definitely not required for full stack web developers. Try to search for some full stack vacancies. I highly doubt that you can find Photoshop in their requirements.

We don't use it at all. We use Figma for layout and design.

Well, graphic designing is necessary, so its better to have the knowledge of photoshop. Though there are a lot of alternatives to photoshop, but adobe photoshop is the most popular. You can use any of them you wish.

Knowledge of Photoshop is a great plus, also Adobe XD, Figma. You need to know how to export images, get paddings, colors, font sizes, etc.

It is not used for full stack developer. But for web designing it's required to edit the images you are uploading on the web.

Photoshop is not the only software out there that can do graphic design. There are free alternatives too like Gimp. For doing mockups I think this is overkill. You can do beautiful web design also without ever manipulating any images. You can do awesome stuff with pure CSS, including even animations.

Maninder $ingh you can use photoshop to create a logo for your website, icon for your app, or a character in your game, etc and if your website deals with picture you can easily use photoshop to edit them to your test, something like adding your website name to it, or maybe joining two or more photos, etc.. But it has nothing to do with making you a full-stack developer, Because some people don't use it, All depends on the type of website you are developing, some use Canvas, SVG or CSS to make their logos.. But if you have the opportunity of mastering it. That's cool cus no knowledge is a waste... Thanks.

Macromedia Fireworks or GIMP is a great editing software you should consider learning. Also, I don't think you must be a great graphics designer to be a full stack web developer.

I think adobe XD will help you better , as a Front-end designer you need to design the interfaces before coding them ✌🏻

I think it helps you get a mockup interface to your client. Kinda like a 3d modelling software for interior designers?

Photoshop can be used to plan how your layout or web interface will look like b4 you get in coding and I think it is need to edit some stuff like logos and removing background on some photos that you don't need That's what I would use Photoshop together with web designing

It depends on you. But If you wanna become a full-stack developer, try to use Adobe XD, figma or something like that. You spend more time to change the mockup in photoshop

Probably not. But you need do have a good design skill. To be able to develop a site that fits the user's need, one must have a good understanding of design principles and not Photoshop skills
