App development using Android studio and java

Question

Would u advice anyone to learn java for Android development this year despite the adoption of kotlin as the official language for Android development since 2017?
Even if the person have learnt the core Java needed for Android development, should the person go on with Android studio using java? Or he should just learn another language?

According to me kotlin is best for Android, even 70% of Android developers users KOTLIN, because it is easy, you can do events functions in one line if need, and many more!! You can also learn Java. No problem on that. You can also use Dart, React Native, Java, Kaitlin etc. But there are more advantages if you use Kotlin!!

I advise you to switch to kotlin, as you know java, now Kotlin is recommended in android development, this language is used by NASA, Google and other companies

Rishav Tiwari I have already known java just asking if I should proceed with its usage by implenting it using Android studio because am really hoping to specilise in machine learning
