How come "coding foundations" course has specific languages rather than theory?

I saw this new course, and I just have few questions regarding it.

1. If it's coding foundations, surely we would focus on the theory of programming rather than specific programming language? What I mean by that is that programming principles and computational thinking are the same across different programming languages. Hence it will be a good idea to pass that message to user; include what programming involves, what techniques are used, and so on.

2. There's "Tech for everyone" course which introduces user to the IT. However, the coding foundation course introduces user to the specific programming/mark-up languages. But why would you make a whole different course which has foundation lessons from other courses?

You might say it's not a big deal because user can go over again and remember more - but that's a misconception in my opinion, and I can justify it.

3. Therefore wouldn't it be better to add new content to the "Tech for everyone" course under a new section?

Your points are definitely valid and it's what I assumed the course was about. I haven't tried it yet though.

Neither did I try it. Opened the app after some time to see what's new. Asked here in case if mentors/mods know.

R programming language was one of the reasons i chose this app, but i dont see a track to learn it? Python i see but nothing specific to R
