I'm using VSCodium, one of my professors at the university is using NetBeans, my mentor from the past was a ZendStudio fun... some other professors are vscode fun (because of the copilot)....
but others prefer JetBrains PHPStorm (not free, but for students with a proof)

let me see more.... you can use Eclipse, BlueFish, Fleet, DevPHP2, Geany, Notepad++, SublimeText, and so on....

it depends on your system as well.

which is good enough for you? try them! in that way I found VSCodium for myself....
