I want to become a programmer, what language should I study first?

this is a very subjective question, but the core langs that every programmer must be know are c++, java and JavaScript if you dominate these Lang's. you are in the correct path but the Lang's depends of the type of problems to solve for example: Mobile app dev: java, javaScript, c++ and objective C. desktop and Mobil game development: it's a good idea study c++ first. web backend development: many options but the most extended use are ( python, php, c#, ruby, java and now javascript with node) web frontend dev: core chain ( html and javascript ) and you must know something of css I recommend start in java, you learn everything of oop and the transition from java to others langs it's easy.
