Is C++ really that important?

Question

I know C++ is really a big deal and many Google engineer's favorite.Wanna know that should I develop my skills on c++ or just grab the basic knowledge and move to other languages like Java etc. I'm really passionate to make a fun project like an Android game or a very cool application,or any other useful software.

C is the principal language, other languages like java come from C. Then C/C++ are very importants, but other languages could have utilities C++ doesn't have

If you want to move to other languages, don't go to Java. It is a dying language.

for android and little things Java is the better choice, C++ is very difficult to handle sometimes
