Are you stuck with an infinite loop while using fail() in C++?

Lesson for today:
don't forget to add:
cin.sync();
OR for Linux users:
cin.ignore(numeric_limits < streamsize >::max(), '\n');
after clear();

Example:

cin >> limit;

if (cin.fail()){
