BUG in system? my activity was erased and im at the beginning of course

Question

I completed 50% of course and then did not have any activity for a couple of days now I see I'm back to beginning of course!? I did not reset. This has to be a bug in system. . I have to "test out" through shortcuts to get back to where I left off.
Anyone else having this problem?
