Matlab isn't that hard actually. if you have experience in c/c++ or even python you'll pick it up easier than you think. There are some weird quarks, but once you work through those it's not bad.

MATLAB is very easy tool. just start from the basic matrix operation , plotting. If you get any problems, then search in help or use mathwork forum.

That's good to hear, Matlab, like any language, can get really complex. But 99% of the time it shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Also, it helps that there is a lot of information on the web to help you figure it out, so Google can be a huge help at times. In any case, good luck!!
