In years to come what language(s) (whether programming or markup) will be a non negotiable for the avg person and how soon do you think this may be?

HTML, CSS and JAVASCRIPT! since they live in every web browser

I agree. Pretty soon those languages are going to be the same as knowing basic algebra or geometry. As this shift occurs I’m curious as to how we can make sure that ppl living in developing countries don’t get let behind. The more ppl that learn the better technology we as a ppl can create and optimize.
