Rs. 8400 is divided among A, B, C and D in such a way that the shares of A and B, B and C, and C and D are in the ratios of 2:3, 4:5 and 6:7 respectively. The share of A is

c=5/4 b = 5/4*3/2a = 15/8 a
d = 7/6 c = 105/48 a

alltogether is (1a + 3/2a +15/8 a + 105/48 a) = 8400

48a + 72a + 90a + 105a = 48*8400
315 a = 48*8400

a = 1280
b= 1920
c=2400

d=2800

multiply vertically like (ABC):(BBC):(BCC):(BCD)

now (2*4*6) =48x this is for A
(3*4*6)=72x for B
(3*5*6)=90x for C
(3*5*7)=105x for D
then
we have to find the value of x add A+B+C+D

48x+72x+90x+105x=8400
315x=8400
value of x=26.66

now apply x value to : 48x=48*26.66=>1280
similarly for 72x is. 72*26.66=1920
90x is. 90*26.66=2400
105x is. 105*26.66=2800

The share of A is 1280
