although the meaning of ide is ambigously defined (the compiler is usually a separate entity and in some cases it doesn't ship with the ide), MS Word is a very bad text editor for coding because it formats your text (adds chars that may be invisible for you but not for a compiler).
you'd be better off using notepad.
consider an ide as a set of tools to make your coding easier faster: basically everything notepad is missing.

IDE - integrated development environment is for the purpose of writing, compiling and running particular code/language. Sometimes these IDE's comes with built in text editor.

MS word is as said just a text editor not a dev environment.
