Anyone Else confused about JS and HTML?

So I just finished the JS and HTML course’s and just found myself confused at the end, I couldn’t quite put two and two together on some things like getElementById and the inputs and having java script go through them, does anyone else feel like this? P.S I’m also very proud of myself now for getting 4 courses done (yay go me!) got certificates up on my wall B)

Capturing vs. Bubbling

The addEventListener() method allows you to specify the propagation type with the "useCapture" parameter. This is what I’m mainly confused about 🤔 because why not just use findElementById instead?
