JavaScript, is not a markup language; rather, it is a programming language. That by itself is enough to make learning JavaScript a lot more difficult than HTML.

Having a general knowledge on OOP or Programming language is a big help before learning JS.

In addition to Sololearn, use other web resources too. Use Google to search for other tutorials. Practice is also important. Code playground in Sololearn is a good starting point.
