How many spaces do I require to work properly?

I reckon 3, because there's 3 total characters in the "if " in "if expression" for the if statement. As such, an indentation of the statements line by EXACTLY 3 characters would make the spacing out and/or LAYOUT be MORE appealing visually, and that's the real reason for why we even wish to indent in the first place really I think...
