Why this docstring code doesn't match the purpose of ceil function?🤔

Question

This question is regarding on a code coach challenge .. first I used a way to solve it by coding as shown in the docstring below instead of import math, it basically do the same thing what ceil function do (I guess🤔) but program didn't work with it. so I had to use import math module..where did I mess up in the docstring code?
