Why was the 'CODE OF THE DAY' feature removed?

Sololearn used to had a single code as the code of the day, which used to be pinned at the top, what problem did that feature had?

Maybe they removed it because it's hard to actually find and label a code as the best one without being unfair to other codes, there are a lot of different codes out there, each has it's own porpuse, one may be a game, another may be a website, you can't just pick a code, because people will get offended.

Мг. Кнап🌠 Very true, I've also noticed this thing where you exchange upvotes/follow even without checking the codes/Profile is worth upvoting/following.

SoloLearn is now more like a social media. I've seen many awesome codes with just few upvotes and its very disappointing because such codes' author quits when they see no positive feedback and appreciation coming.
(because IMO upvotes help you stay interested in the community)
I agree with you on this "COTD used to picks the best code of the day before".

But let's agree that people will come and go and that's totally fine because it's their wish. But let's make sure we don't fall prey to this.

We don't need moderator for this, we can try from our side and hope for a good response. I'm gonna mail, you too do it(if you really want).

RKK Yeah, but the problem is, the community here, now the Code trends because people here started gossiping in the codes, instead of talking the good and bad aspects of the Code, they start a whole conversation based of nothing..
Which makes the Code more engaging and it starts heading up to in the 'HOT Today' feed

RKK it used to be more fun, at times, things have changed alot, I wasn't active on sololearn for almost a year , and then when I came , many old and amazing sololearner had already left the platform, some of them are still active on the discord though..

We just mailing I don't think would creat much impact, unless the moderators also feel it worth trying
