If you're a beginner I think it's fine because it may contain C++11 and C++14 concepts which introduce some great features especially C++11.

Course will not teach you anything that has been removed from standards.

1) By a visual inspection of, history of development of C++, it is evident that, there are important developments/ additions, in C++, post 2017. 2) You may ask the experts, imparting knowledge in your tutorial of C++, to share information on C++ post 2017. 3) The details of the period of your C++ course, and as to the period spent in learning the course, are obscure.
