Python is a good combination of OOP, data structures and functional programming. Most importantly, semicolon can't play hide and seek with Python programmers.

Not saying python is bad.
But see comparison charts c++ is the faster than python and consumes less memory.
Well if you want to know to what extent then let me tell you that if a program is really a complex.one python is 400 times slower while consuming larger memory.
For this many windows games were written in C++.
So that they consume less memory.
But for python codes are always shorter than c++.

Often "pythonists" complain about curly brackets and semicolons in C++/Java.
I never found it to be such a drammatic issue (especially using modern IDEs).
I think that switching from C++/Java to python is an easier process than the opposite and this, is something a beginner should keep in mind before deciding.
