whenever am learning how to code, should i finish the entire course before doing a project?

I want to know whether i should finish the course before doing a project or i should start doing a project.

Personally, i believe that projects should be done after finishing a unit. As it tests your knowledge to re-evaluate if you understand what you were taught. By any chance, if you want to re-try the project, you are able to do so.
