What is em in HTML?
It is not yet being introduced in the slides before and it went to describe it and bringing relations?

The <em> tag is a phrase tag. It renders as emphasized text.

Munaf is correct, but there's actually more to the answer than that. In normal web browsers, <i> and <em> both pretty much mean italicise, but when it comes to web design on multiple platforms, these tags each play a different role.
Basically, <em> and </em> describe the text they surround, while <i> and </i> describe HOW the text they surround SHOULD BE DISPLAYED. More information can be found here:
