PHP vs JavaScript

Between Php and JavaScript ,which do you prefer and why?

JS cannot be replaced at client side scripting, and any major scripting language (including JS) can replace Php at server side...
If you want to compare them, you can only do it for server side scripting context, and you will only get personal users preference, never an absolute better one.

Anyway, my personal prefered choice for server side scripting is Python, because I love it and I'm boring of Php and I think it start to be a little outdated, even it's still the most used actually... JS could have advantage to be already better known for most of web developpers, but even it's a lovely and powerful language, it's also a messy language, and server side scripting in quite any language should require at least one specific web server framework learning, so why not a totally new language rather than only one more framework ^^

PHP works on server-side. JavaScript works on client-side

The are different, can't compare. Javascript can't use for PHP, and PHP cant replace Javascript.

Well, it is a bit wrong to say 'Javascript is client side' as nodejs is a powerful way to use js one server side...

is Different Language , Php For Server Part And For Talk With Sql About Database But Javascript Is For the Part Of Animation or interaction With User :)
