Why MySQL is not running properly with my XAMPP server?

I installed the xampp server on my windows 10 pc. But I am unable to access the mysql from it. Also the phpmyadmin is not functioning properly. I want to know the possible reasons of this problem and a accurate solution ASAP.

Have you started the Database service, you need to start the Apache and Database service. This could be a reason.

I never got this sort of error. Try reinstalling xampp. Where are you getting this messages? in xampp or another dialogue box?
