Mobile development vs Web development

Question

I need advice whether to switch to HTML5 app programming or stick with the usual web dev thing. I've made HTML5 apps before and they look quite easier than even making normal websites and hosting them(all that stress). Then I found this

I don't recommend using web to create mobile apps because of the input delay in mobile browsers (which includes webview for android etc.)

Yes i know that native apps are better than phonegap apps but I'm asking if making phonegap apps is more profitable than web programming
