Yes you can start with html. html is essential because of it's web based application.if you want to become a web developer you should learn html. HTML can integrate with other programming languages. You can make our own website using html.html is easy to understand and it's also supported by all browsers.

Explosive Creativity :D This whole thing about HTML being a programming language seems to be a sensitive trigger for you. I'd love to encourage you to review two of my others posts on this and feel free to respond there as I would hate to distract from this thread. https://www.sololearn.com/post/418932/ https://www.sololearn.com/post/141278/

David Carroll but the OP hasn't even stated that it's a programing language :) he just said if it's a good starter language, no programing involved whatsoever so we just had an unnecessary back and forth. It's right in the name, HTM - Language

Dear Nikola Cerovina, Hello.. It is quite difficult to answer this question🤪🧐.. Since, you are interested in becoming a web developer👩🏻‍💻, you should start with HTML, CSS and Javascript. In my opinion, as I am interested in becoming a web developer, I would prefer HTML more😇.. But you should remember✅ that, what you are interested in is most important💯 then asking others for what I should do❌.. I hope I was helpful to you..

You should start with one of the languages that teaches you real programming concepts. They are great for you as you will start understanding how programming really works. So in my opinion you should start with one of the following languages: Java, Python, CPP or just JavaScript. (Python is the most beginner friendly among them) By the way learning HTML or CSS won't help you much to understand how programming really works. They are not even true programming languages.
