How can I start to create shapes and colors in Java? I heard that some 16 year old kid developed a game with java. Any help?

Well levels go like :
Easy - Game engine with C#
Medium - Pygame with Python
Hard - Web game with HTML, CSS, JS
Extreme - C++ / Java

Also, these levels are suitable for me, it can vary with you. If you are comfortable with a language, you can master the gamings quickly.

They are equally hard, until you see them with your experience and knowledge.

Just grab a graphics library or a game engine and learn how to use it. Drawing shapes on a blank window is not really hard. You can develop games in Java easily by following tutorials on the internet. Same goes to all other programming languages.
