Python3 or Python2+ which one should i learn ?

if i start coding into python world . which one should I choose . somebody said that these two versions are totally different ! is it true guys ?

not totally different, but Python 3. might as well learn the new

I'm new to python and I decided to start with 3 since it's the newer language. Although from research I have done prior, there will be things I need 2 for, but I learn and use it as needed. At this point I have used a little of each and in my opinion they are similar for the most part.
