Has any proffesional programmer here worked on a language that he has never been trained at?

Question

I was a former Java/C# developer. I was accepted into a job that works on web dev using HTML5/CSS/php with some sprinkles of JS. I have not worked with those languages ever before, specifically I have never worked on web dev, period. Apparently the code looks like a giant pile of shit to me compared to the structural, logical and sound Java code I used to work with. How do you cope with that?
