Any one explain why computer read only binary digit ( 0 , 1 ) ?

actually , logical gates are used to decide whether the output is to be provided or not for a given set of input(used in digital circuits)
in logical circuit , binary operation is used in which input & output is in form of pulse signal (0 indicates low volatge,1indicates high volatge) , combinations of 0&1 are made to convey a particular signal 👈
for example ::: 1 of the 3 fundamental logical gates NOT is a "simple transistor(npn or pnp ... thats ur choice☺) which works as a switch"

Yes, good thread. Though most of you are better informed in this area than I, the answer to the original question would seem to be this. There are non-binary computers, but binary computers are so much more common than non-binary computers because binary operations are easier to implement in hardware. This is why we don't see many ternary computers these days. ??

Hi Mr. JPM7,
from someone's POV who is curious about the cause and effect in practical level, it's no longer a big issue to deal with WHY and HOW. Having a deep hunger for knowing the unknowns and not buy into their shortcomings in the first place, make a real difference between a mediocre learner and a successful one.
Hopefully, our friends do some self-study and make it clear for themselves about what they truly want out of this journey. BTW, I'm really optimistic for that matter. :)

This is, hands down, one of my favorite threads to have come across. I especially enjoyed the notes on how CD/DVD and RW tech works. I'll be doing some research later on this.
