Quantum Programming? Qubits?

Question

if in the future we will be able to write quantum computers' programs, what will be different in terms of memory?

I would like to focus my mind in quantum physics and how it could improve computers' performance, what should I study after a computer science course?

You should study classical information theory and then quantum physics and quantum information theory.
Then you can see there are quantum programming languages and algorithms.
There are a lot of works that has been done already and you can just study them.
