Self-satisfaction, recognition, and many other stupid reasons. People here acts nicely to others just for upvotes n all. Everyone's priority should be to "help others" without caring about followers or upvotes.

Yeah, HaRjit SiNgh Pretty much has it right. It happens everywhere, most popularly social media where people wanna become famous and stuff like that. It's pretty dumb, especially since this isn't that much of a site to do that on. Peoples goals should be to help people because they wanna do good, not because they wanna be known. You should try to be a better person and a better coder, not a better celebrity. So yeah, that's my take on it.
