JS question insertRow vs appendChild

Question

In the recent Matrix assignment, I used insertRow() and inserCell() to allow the user to redimension the matrix table.

My question is:
Out of curiosity, is this better, worse or no different to using appendChild()?

Any feedback would be welcome.

Because the row can be completely filled out before being added. It fits the way I think about tables better.
